Angelika Y. Sadar, MA, PTR  -  Liscenced Psychologist

Angelika Sadar coordinates the treatment and training of neurofeedback, provides community education, trains other professionals in neurofeedback and provides psychotherapy to children and adults. Angelika is a licensed psychologist who is certified in clinical hypnosis and is credentialed by the United States Tennis Association as a Specialist in Sports Psychology. She has been in private practice over 20 years and has extensive experience with children, adolescents and adults. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Pennsylvania Psychological Association, American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and Professional Tennis Registry.

Angelika has been a neurofeedback provider, trained by EEG Spectrum, since 2002. She uses high performance training programs that were designed in conjunction with NASA as well asother computer-assisted training programs that are used to alleviate behaviors associated with anxiety, depression, ADHD and other concerns.

In recent years, she has specialized in working with high performance athletes, including professional tennis players. She is the official sports psychologist for the Philadelphia Freedoms professional tennis team, and consults to the USTA High Performance Committee. Mitchell M. Sadar, Ph.D  -  Liscenced Psychologist

Dr. Mitchell Sadar is a licensed psychologist who has been practicing clinical psychology for over 25 years. He has worked in diverse settings and has treated a wide array of patients. Dr. Sadar has worked in adult and adolescent inpatient units, substance abuse rehabilitation programs, prisons, and in private practice. He considers himself to be a generalist and has worked with a wide spectrum of mental health and life issues. In 1999, Dr. Sadar was trained in neurofeedback and branched off into the realm of peak performance psychology. Since that time he has devoted his time and energy to combining  his  clinical psychology   background   and
experience with emerging computer technology to develop ways to help individuals function better, be it overcoming symptoms of autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc., to becoming better performers in work or sports, to developing further their spirituality.

 Dr. Sadar tries to understand the unique wants and needs of every individual that he sees, and develop a program of treatment/training that will help them accomplish their goals.

Amy Bernstiel  -  Office Manager, Neurofeedback Technician, IM Technician

Amy has been with our office since May 2007. She graduated from West Chester University in May 2005 with a degree in Biology. Prior to Sadar’s, Amy worked as a retail store manager, where she specialized in visual merchandising, making her a good fit as the Office Manager. She was also a Kindergarten Teacher’s Assistant in the Norristown Area School District. Amy has always been very active with horses, and has taken a personal interest in showing riders of all levels the benefits of Interactive Metronome and Neurofeedback. Amy manages her own barn, High Hopes Farm in Collegeville, where she gives lessons to junior
riders of all skill levels.   She specializes in creating a lesson program for children withspecial needs to encourage safety and confidence. During her free time she likes to ride her horses and go white water rafting.

 
Larah Sadar, PTR  -  Neurofeedback Technician, IM Technician

Larah obtained her BS with honors in Biology, with a concentration in behavior, from University of Dayton in 2007. Born a natural athlete, she has been very involved with many sports. She lettered in three high school sports a year- tennis, swimming, and track- while competing in softball at the national level through 2003. Post graduation, Larah lived in Colorado, and had the opportunity to meet with Scott Ford of Arete Sports to learn his cutting edge vision principles. She has recently moved back to Pennsylvannia to work for Sadar Psychological and Sports Center in development of their Peak Performance Program at Frog Hollow Racquet Club.
 

 
Jamie Clugston  -  Neurofeedback Technician

Jamie has been with our office since April of 2006. She graduated from West Chester University in 2003 with a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education. Combining her love and knowledge of working in Special Education, she eagerly came to Sadar’s to further her career by working in the area of Neurofeedback. She also holds a full time position as the Director of Sales for a healthcare company. During her free time, she researches grad schools, gets outside as much as possible, and eats sushi. 
 


Justin Marinelli  -  Neurofeedback Technician
Justin graduated from Imaculatta University in May 2005 with a degree in Business Administration and Organizational Dynamics.  Justin was a active volunteer at Misty Harbor Psychiatric Hospital where was very involved with the patients.  He drive to help and work with people brought Justin to SPS in 2008.   He has worked in telecommunications for five years in network and data/voice activations.  He has also managed a beverage distributor, and was in charge of all aspects of the business.   When he has free time, Justin enjoys playing tennis, golf, and spending time with his two year old son.


 
 


Robert Maier, MS  -  Relational Therapist

Bob has been with Sadar Psychological and Sports since 1996. In addition to providing counseling to individuals, couples and families, Bob is the Director of the Mental Health Unit at SCI Graterford, where he is the administrator of the inpatient unit.. Prior to his entry into the counseling field, Bob had careers in both banking and real estate and served in the U.S. Navy. He is a native of the Norristown area, where he raised his family and continues to enjoy bike riding and being a Penn State fan.



 


Melissa Dizon - Billing

Mellissa has been with our office since April 2006. She is originally from New York, and graduated from Stony Brook University in May 2005 with degrees in History and Public Health. During her last semester of college she decided she wanted to pursue a career in medicine, and enrolled in a Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program at Drexel University. She has since then completed the program and was offered a spot in DUCOM’s entering class of 2007. However, she deferred acceptance into medical school upon the offer of scholarships in her resident state of NY. Melissa left Sadar’s to attend medical school at SUNY Albany, but continues to do office work remotely. During her free time she likes to bowl and ballroom dance. Melissa also loves foods of all types, especially chocolate!
