Denise Malkowicz MD - Neurologist, Epileptologist
Denise Ewald Malkowicz MD is a neurologist, Clinical Neurophysiologist and Epileptologist who also specializes in Quantitative Electro encephalography and neurofeedback as an integrative approach to treat a number of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Malkowicz is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Neurology, the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, and the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. In addition, Dr. Malkowicz is certified by SABA (Society for the Advancement of Brain Analysis) in QEEG and Neurofeedback.
Dr. Malkowicz did her residency training in neurology at the former medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University), where she was chief resident. She did a two-year fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epileptology. She was attending in Neurology and Epileptology at Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann (Drexel University) and served as Acting Director of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Epilepsy Center.
Dr. Malkowicz has been involved in neuro-plasticity research, neuron-rehabilitation and neurofeedback research. She has received a number of awards for her work in neuro-rehabilitation including the Brazilian Gold Medal of Honor, and the prestigious Statuette with Pedestal for her work. She is a member of SABA, a QEEG-neurofeedback research society, and of ISNR (International Society for Neurofeedback and Research).
Dr. Malkowicz is an active national and international speaker on the subject of QEEG-Neurofeedback. She is a published author. Her works include a recent article in the Journal or Neurotherapy 13:176-188 “Role of Quantitative Electroencephalography, Neurotherapy and Neuroplasticity in Recovery from Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders.” She is a contributing author to the newly released book Integrative Psychiatry.
In addition to her academic commitments, Dr. Malkowicz has recently started private practice. This practice is housed with Sadar Psychological and Sports Center. |
