Many people are aware of a spiritual component to their functioning that has its rightful place with the physical, mental and emotional realms. Across cultures and across time, spiritual pursuits have taken many forms. Spiritual pursuits have subsequently given rise to religions, that is, to integrated systems of expression of the belief in some superhuman power.

One way of looking at spirituality generically, whether the form it is taking is associated with a particular religion or not, is to see it as a human attempt to connect with the creative, governing force in the universe. In our opinion, this connection is facilitated to the degree a person can quiet his/her worldly or ego mind. By quieting the mind, we become open to an awareness of the supernatural messages that surround us or are within us.

Seen this way, quieting the mind becomes a way to strengthen and deepen one’s spirituality regardless of any associated religious doctrine. Sadar Psychological and Sports Center offers several methods for helping people quiet their active, racing minds. These methods include psychological techniques/exercises aimed at relaxation, though stopping, etc. Various meditative techniques have been used for centuries to calm the mind. Neurofeedback, or brainwave training, can teach a person to decrease brainwave patterns associated with an overactive mind or can produce a pattern that induces a trance-like state in which transformative experiences are known to occur.

If you have an interest in strengthening and deepening your spiritual/religious experience, you may wish to consider exploring the services we offer. You can telephone our office and tell the receptionist of your interest in a free phone consultation to discuss methods of spiritual enhancement.  She will be happy to arrange a fifteen to thirty minute consultation to discuss your specific situation.
